Bumble is looking for a talented Google Cloud Platform engineer to own and drive technical projects from specification to delivery and beyond. You will impact millions of users, share know-how with the community and experiment a lot. This permanent role will be based in Moscow, Russia (On-site, remote or mixed).

Key Accountabilities

• Work closely with our product and design teams to build new and innovative application experiences

• Be an efficient and responsible team member, communicate, participate and help

• Mind performance metrics to conclude and drive change

• Analyse and optimise backend and infrastructure application code for quality, efficiency, and performance

• Contribute technical ideas and suggestions to enhance the direction of products

• Develop test cases and be responsible for the quality of solutions you deliver

Experience We Are Looking For

• Evidence of delivering consumer-facing, mass market, networked, high-performance solutions

• Experience building maintainable and testable code bases, including API design and testing techniques

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform

• Experience with Go or PHP or Java/Kotlin languages

• Experience developing APIs and integrating third-party services

• Experience in relational databases and SQL

• Excellent problem-solving skill and a desire to work on diverse projects involving interesting technical challenges

• Understanding of analytics, remote reporting, measurements, experiments and AB test systems

• Sound computer science foundations: algorithms, data structures, concurrency, threading, and programming languages

• Words like caching, sharding, replication, reliability are familiar to you or you should be able to learn them quickly

• Experience with frontend technologies is a plus (React, Javascript/Typescript)
