Brief introduction of Research Department, Wireless Network
Research Dept. at Wireless Network was established to conduct full stack of research activity for next generation communication platform (base station). HQ of Research Dept. is based in Shanghai/China. There are several teams including Research team, Standardization team, Algorithm team, System solution team and others. Also, Research Dept. is responsible for PHY algorithm delivery to the chipset SD-61XX.
Description of research engineer – RAN algorithms:
Algorithm research and development in wireless communication. Required signal processing, linear algebra, probability theory, statistics, basic algorithms, adaptive filtering, random processes. Provide competitive algorithm and technical solution to for upcoming HW products. Candidates will work in an exciting team environment with some of the brightest systems engineers in the industry and will have frequent interaction with other engineering areas. The candidate has to be skilled enough in C++ coding, because all verification job has to be done in corporate simulation environment that uses C++ language.
Responsibilities of a RAN algorithm research engineer:
be responsible for advanced algorithm research (5G/6G technology), providing key technology breakthroughs, improving performance, low-complexity and detection algorithms (based on traditional or AI methods), in order to create the best and most competitive baseband platform in the industry.
The details include but not limited to:
5G and LTE physical layer baseband research and development, including algorithm research and analysis, protocol and demand analysis, algorithm design and selection, link and system development and simulation/modeling, performance verification and optimization, joint support and error positioning analysis.
“AI+communication” advanced applied research, tracking and promotion of standard patents.
Candidate requirements:
Solid theoretical knowledge of digital communication and digital signal processing foundations, good grasp of communication basics, knowledge about detection and estimation, digital signal processing, probability theory, matrix analysis;
Ability to use C/C++ and Matlab;
Be familiar with one of the physical layer communication protocols, such as GSM/WCDMA/cdma2000/TD-SCDMA/LTE/WiFi/5G;
Ability to learn quickly, good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
