We are Fabrication Operations team. We develop and support service which produces scripts for fabric robots for all Align's factories. Our service processes tens of thousands of aligners produced for all Align factories over the world every day.

Our main goal is to prepare 3D models for printing. We have great tem of C++ developers for that, who knows C++, analytical geometry and other mathematics.

But now we need to improve speed of new ideas prototyping as well as quality of automatic test system. To solve this task we are looking for Python engineers, who will prototype new manufacturing methods and approaches to test our software. We hope this person will help our C++ engineers to automate module tests, will help our devops engineer to deploy our service in clouds and run it there.

This position is in a distributed team: development and SQA are located in Raleigh (US) and Moscow (Russia).

In this role, you will…

• Participate in the entire 3D Manufacturing Software life cycle from concept to release
• Develop and maintain infrastructure to test and run an automated CAD/CAM system for mass production of medical devices
• Port existing solutions to run in public cloud
• Develop SDK to run functional and integration tests
• Play a key role in defining architecture and technical requirements for our products
• Work closely with SQA and DevOps engineers
• Interact with internal and external key stakeholders to improve our products

In this role, you’ll need …

• Experience in professional development using Python
• Experience in inventing SDKs and frameworks
• Knowledge of high-performance computational technologies and architectures
• Ability to collaborate effectively with developers, program management, and SQA engineers on requirements and design constraints
• Actively pursue opportunities for learning and self-development
• Knowledge of C\C++ will be a significant plus
• Experience in 3D algorithms, distributed computations, CAD/CAM, and a sense of beauty in software engineering will be treated as significant pluses
• Experience in DevOps technologies - AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD toolchain will be a plus
