About Project:

We are looking for the experts in software engineering to join our team and work together on defining and building development infrastructure to tackle the unique challenges of creating the new generation IDE and Intelligent Development Tools. DevEco IDE is a modern IDE platform for HarmonyOS. DevEco IDE is a one-stop, integrated application and device development environment that can customize our own OS components, helps to design and develop user applications for HarmonyOS, compile and program code with just a few clicks, visually debug code, and integrate distributed features, providing for innovative and efficient development at all times. We are aiming at providing unified development experience for Harmony-based solutions across a wide range of consumer devices from small smart cameras to flagman smartphones.

The DevEco team is focused on developing top-level solutions which will help to improve development experience for our devices. Besides of modern IDE our target fields for research and development include intelligent complementation based on tree representation and DL methods, intelligent search and AI-assisted Q&A system. The team is currently located in St. Petersburg and Moscow.

Your tasks may include:

• Leading of development team.
• Design and prototype the IDE core related solutions.
• Design and prototype system interfaces.
• Propose plan, design and implement new functionality based on competitive analysis of existing tools and customer’s feedback.
• Communicate with internal and external IDE users, collect and analyze their feedback and feature requests.
• Communicate to HQ and other departments.

What Do We Expect To See:

• Familiar with one of well-known IDE (IDEA, Andoid Studio, XCode, VisualStudio, MS VSCode, Theia, Eclipse-based IDEs, IAR).
• Strong knowledge in IPC programming.
• Network programming.
• Fast prototyping skills.
• Strong skills in development in one of programming languages like Java, Kotlin, C#, C++, Python, Go.
• Strong skills in debugging (software, hardware).
• Multi-threading programming.
• Cross-platform development.

Would be an advantage if you also are:

• PhD/PhD student.
• Contributing to one of the commercial embedded IDEs (IAR, ARM Keil)
• Winner of Math/programming competitions
• Upper-intermediate written and spoken English/Chinese.
