About this opportunity:

We are looking for an experienced DBA for our Moscow location.
The DBA should have proven skills with DB support on infrastructure and application level for our main data platforms- MS SQL and PostgreSQL.

In this role, you will…

In this role you will be part of a global DBA team that is responsible for the administration of Align and iTero Data platforms on AWS cloud and on prem.

This position will collaborate with a global DevOps and R&D teams to support and develop best data solution for our growing environments.

In this role the individual will be responsible for Microsoft SQL Server & PostgreSQL databases, based in cloud (AWS). This role includes production and pre-production environment support 24/7 if needed

Also part of the role is Implement, upgrade and enhance cost-effective fault-tolerant database infrastructure

• Analyze system performance. Establish and uphold performance metrics for the system as whole and key business applications.
• Support software projects involving the database infrastructure.
• Fine-tune the databases and queries to match application requirements.
• Automate DB maintenance/routine tasks
• Provide database support and maintenance. Support user’s requests in relation to system problems and requests for enhancements.
• Help developers improve the performance of that query by tweaking it or modifying indexes
• Recommends solutions by defining database physical structure and functional capabilities, database security, data back-up, and recovery specification
• communicating regularly with technical, applications and operational staff to ensure database integrity and security
• Work and collaborate with the global DBA team

In this role, you’ll need …

• Proven experience as a DBA in a fast paced, high growth, technology and intensive environment
• Solid background in Microsoft SQL Database Administration, High Availability and Disaster Recovery (always on), T-SQL, Query tuning and support of application design and development, NHibernate
• Solid background in PostgreSQL (Disaster recovery, Replication, Backups, Query tuning, Table partitioning)
• People skills- high service orientation and ability to work in a team – a must
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) and AWS DMS, RDS and ELK experience – Advantage
• Development knowledge in Python - Advantage
• Experience with Amazon Aurora – Advantage

Requirements:

• BA degree in a design-related field.
• 4-5 years’ experience as a DBA
• Good spoken English (Intermediate+)
