Role summary

The ideal candidate is an experienced data pipeline builder and data wrangler who enjoys optimizing data systems and building them from the ground up. The Data Engineer will support our software developers, database architects, data analysts and data scientists on data initiatives and will ensure optimal data delivery architecture is consistent throughout ongoing projects. The right candidate will be excited by the prospect of designing our company’s data architecture from scratch to support our next generation of products and data initiatives.

What you will be doing

• Partner with Product Manager to build bullet-proof reliable and lighning fast data generation algorithms providing analytics and regulatory reports for business
• Partner with Engineering to build a standalone analytics engine that will allow to modify and improve algorithms without any intervention to the product source code itself
• Implement and maintain all the analytics and reporting algorithms
• Collaborate with Product Manager, Finance and Auditor teams on solving any data discrepancy issues appearing in final reports

Candidate requirements

• Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases.
• 2+ years experience as a data engineer, systems analyst or a similar role in a software company
• 2+ years software developer experience (any stack)
• Superb attention to details, creative and analytical approach to problem solving
• Desire to deeply understand things you work on, instead of willing to compromise on partial understanding and shortcuts
• Someone who thrives at the intersection of data engineering and software development
• Ability to read and understand technical English

Nice to haves

• University degree level in computer science or another technology equivalent
• Clickhouse experience
• English proficiency - Intermediate and above
