We are looking for a qualified researcher in the field of optical communications to become a part of the team focused on theoretical research and development of advanced communications systems. A successful candidate is expected to have a PhD or to be a PhD Candidate in physics, mathematics, technical or computer science. He should demonstrate a strong background in mathematics; understand the theory of electromagnetic waves and optics, and basics of digital signal processing. A candidate should also have good programming skills, preferably in Python and C++. The research experience should be proved by the articles in valuable peer-reviewed international journals or patents

Responsibilities:

• Provide investigations in the field of machine-learning algorithms in optical communications
• Theory exploration, advanced algorithm development, analysis and modeling
• Regular review of authoritative publications on relevant topics
• Propose novel research and technical ideas
• Publish research results in high-level international journals
• Regular participate in international scientific conferences on relevant topics

Key Qualifications:

• PhD or PhD Candidate in physics, mathematics, technical or computer science
• The strong background in mathematics, probability theory, statistics, data modeling and evaluation
• Solid knowledge of Python and C++ to write and manage the code efficiently
• Professionally operate with different neural network architectures and deep learning frameworks
• Practical experience in machine-learning techniques for communications systems or applied physics problems
• Ability to conduct independent research when contributing to the progress of the whole team
