The product

Arrival is building modern electric vehicles, which by the fact - complex computer systems on the wheels. Such complex systems generate a huge amount of data, which we collect to design components and vehicles for efficiency, reliability and safety, test and validate solutions, track vehicles' health and behaviour while lifecycle, investigate incidents and issues and proactively detect faults.
Our team is building a Monitoring & Diagnostics Platform which will enable many of our teams to leverage the data and extract insights from it, prevent faults and reduce vehicle downtime.

The role

We are looking for a talented engineer who can take the maintainer’s role in UI Kit project, which plays important role in our WebApps build processes, as contains base UI building blocks. You will be responsible for guidance of contributions from other teams, defining requirements and priorities, internal project structure, preparing releases and aligning works between all whose who are interested in UI Kit.

Another big activity will be to work with our systems architects & developers on the diagnostic app, which will be integrated into our Monitoring & Diagnostic Cloud Portal as well as into Vehicle Portal, which lives inside a vehicle. This app allows our engineers to perform their daily tasks on integration, support and monitoring by providing access to vehicle data and visualisation UI.

Responsibilities

• Work on project technical requirements with platform owners and apps leads.
• Work with UI/UX design, developers and teams to bring and keep project quality level on the top.
• Work on core components and project infrastructure as developer.
• Communication with developers who uses UI Kit.
• Create and maintain optimal release pipelines for project with help of DevOps team.

Requirements

• 3+ years hands on experience in web apps development.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model.
• Understanding of the differences between multiple target platforms: desktop, embedded, mobile.
• Good understanding of ReactJS and its core principles.
• Experience with popular ReactJS workflows (such as Flux/Redux).
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools.
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
