Product description:

The product is a cloud-based operations management software to optimize facilities, assets, and workflow.

Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and monitor SQL server databases in a 24X7 enterprise hybrid cloud environment.
• Install and configure SQL Clustering and Availability Groups, configure read only routing, and other high availability configurations.
• Apply SQL Server patches on regular cycles and with regard to environment restrictions and maintenance windows.
• Implement and monitor backup processes and procedures and ensure point-in-time recoverability of the environment.
• Implement access and security controls. Manage database users and their appropriate level of permissions.
• Provides design recommendations for database hardware and infrastructure.
• Creates and evaluates regular reports on database health, usage, storage and performance.
• Proactively monitors environment for issues and is responsible for investigating and solving any issues that may arise.
• Creates, maintains, documents processes for managing production database systems.
• Provides regular analysis for index changes, query performance, and resource.
• Learn and lead shift of SQL databases from data center to commercial public cloud including AWS and Azure.

Requirements:

• Higher technical education
• Good English communications skills
• 3+ years of experience supporting SQL Server in an enterprise environment
• Experience with SQL Clustering and Availability Groups
• Experience with monitoring and provisioning SQL Server in AWS/Azure
• Ability to install, configure, and monitor SQL Server solutions that are high quality, scalable, and high performance
• Ability to automate redundant tasks using scripts, jobs, and other technologies
• Strong communication, partnership, teamwork and influencing skills required
• Experience with source control, scripting languages, programming languages, database engineering background

• Automation and/or experience with CI/CD, DevOps
• Certifications in technology, agile methodologies
