Huawei Cloud Business Unit in Huawei Moscow Research Center invites perspective candidates for the position of software developer for image/video quality assessment. The task represents an integral part of image/video codec research and development project and aims at building highly optimized software solutions for Huawei Cloud.

Responsibilities：

Image/video quality assessment algorithms development. This includes:

• Implementation of quality assessment algorithms in Python and С++;
• Quality assessment algorithms development with multithreading or CUDA;
• Optimization of algorithms at various levels;

Qualifications:

(Required)

• MS in applied mathematics, computer science etc;
• Good knowledge of Python and C++. Ability to work with big code bases;
• Ability to write a clean code quickly;
• Basic knowledge in data compression (JPEG, H264)
• Some understanding of Machine Learning algorithms and experience with ML python stack is highly desirable;
• Ability to integrate the existing solutions into standalone applications as well as modifications of standard algorithms with new features;
• Ability to be a part of the team;
• Good command of English;

(Preferred):

• PhD degree in Computer Science etc;
• Experience with production code development and deployment;
• Good knowledge of CUDA;
• In-depth understanding of compression methods for image and video;
• Experience with Matlab;
• Patents, publications;
